Phillip D. Scott has been involved in healthcare for over thirty years. During this period, he worked 17 years for Miles (Bayer) Pharmaceuticals, 16 years for McKesson Health Systems, and is currently employed with NCPDP where he is Senior Vice President, Business Development. At NCPDP, he has direct supervision of and responsibility for: branding HCIdea and NCPDP and it’s programs, marketing, exhibit and advertising sales, media relations, Webservices, membership, public policy, fundraising and exploring new business opportunities.
Prior to joining the NCPDP team, Scott was an active member of NCPDP from 1988, and served on the Board of Trustees and as the Chairman of the association. As Chairman he had oversight responsibilities for the business functions of the association. Scott also served on the Executive, Bylaws and Annual Conference Committees and sat on the EditorialAdvisory Board as the Assistant Publisher for the Council Connection.
Scott is also a member of the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, a past board member of the Health Industry Federal Advisory Council, Health Industry Group Purchasing Association and the Board of Directors for the Arizona Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
Scott was the 1996 recipient of the AZASHP industry representative of the year award. In 1998, he received the NCPDP TIME AWARD for his service and commitment to NCPDP.
