The three-hour event was moderated by KellyAnne Conway and included updates from members of the Trump Administration on efforts underway to combat the epidemic, including Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary, Alex Azar; Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary, David Shulkin; Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary, Ben Carson; acting Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Director, James W. Carroll; Deputy Secretary of State, John Sullivan; Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen; and Attorney General, Jeff Sessions.

The two panel discussions and Q & A session focused primarily on three areas: prevention, treatment and recovery, and law enforcement.
