NCPDP Foundation announced that it has awarded $40,000 in scholarship funds to four university college of pharmacy programs across the country, and $2,000 in honorarium funds.
The universities receiving the funds were nominated by Foundation donors. In addition to supporting scholarships that help the next generation of pharmacists become proficient in the use of health information technology (HIT) to improve patient care, donations to the NCPDP Foundation also support research and pilot projects to drive the proper use of standards in HIT to improve healthcare outcomes and reduce costs.
