Who Attends the NCPDP Annual Conference?

NCPDP Annual Conference attendees represent a cross-section range of industry segments, including retail pharmacies, pharmacy benefit management companies, government agencies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, long term care vendors and providers, database management organizations, healthcare consultants, wholesale drug distributors and more.

Pharmacies

NCPDP's membership includes chain pharmacy executives representing over 24,000 stores, including the top 10 chains by store count. Chains ranging in size from 10 stores to 4,000 stores attend the conference. Community pharmacies are represented as well.

Database Management Organizations

Virtually all database management organizations are active members of NCPDP and attend our Annual Conference to maintain their company's visibility.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturers

NCPDP’s rebate and billing standards are important to pharmaceutical manufacturers. Large and small drug manufacturers participate actively in NCPDP work groups and are represented at the Annual Conference.

Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Companies

Virtually all the large PBMs and many of the smaller ones are members of NCPDP and send key people to the Annual Conference.

Telecommunication and Systems Vendors

The pharmacy management system vendors that attend NCPDP's Annual Conference have systems installed in over 36,000 chain and independent pharmacies. Many other types of systems vendors attend the Annual Conference, including those that provide services to HMOs, PPOs and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Wholesale Drug Distributors

The country's largest wholesale drug distributors are active NCPDP members and Annual Conference attendees, working vigilantly to help our standards provide cohesive data throughout the supply chain.
