Always a catalyst for change and industry transformation, the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) continues to develop, enhance and deliver standards that provide cost-saving and patient care/patient safety solutions to healthcare.
NCPDP’s 2013 Educational Summit will explore the path to these solutions from the unique and diverse perspectives of the key players involved in improving care – patients themselves, pharmacists, physicians, manufacturers, payers, processors and health plans. The content-rich program will focus not only on what NCPDP has done to improve care but also on what needs to be done moving forward in light of accountable care organizations, healthcare reform, and other critical industry issues.
In addition to examining the benefit of standards already in use, we’ll look closely at the upcoming new wave of standards for prior authorization, the national health plan identification number, short cycle dispensing and synchronization, risk evaluation and mitigation strategies (REMS) and electronic prescribing of controlled substances.
In this full-day program, an impressive slate of industry experts will share their knowledge, resources and best practices to help attendees (you) stay ahead of an ever-changing healthcare landscape of rules, regulations and standards, and reap the benefit of NCPDP’s collaborative problem-solving expertise.
