The NCPDP SNIP Committee reached out to State Medicaid Directors in April of 2011 to provide guidance on issues related to the transition to the NCPDP Telecommunication Standard Version D.0 specific to coordination of benefits processing.
National Health Plan ID
The NCPDP SNIP Committee provided recommendations on the use of the National Health Plan ID (HPID) in the pharmacy industry to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, members of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS), and CMS. HPID Regulation HPID Fact Sheets
The Work Group for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) also provided recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services for the use of the HPID.
