The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) generated a Pharmacy NPI Readiness Survey to ascertain the readiness of the pharmacy sector of the healthcare industry to use the National Provider ID (NPI) and to identify issues. The survey was conducted in the 14-day period from Friday, November 23, 2007 through Friday, December 7, 2007. The survey questions focused on three sectors within pharmacy healthcare: Healthcare Providers, Health Plans or Payers, and Information Systems Vendors. The survey results will be provided to CMS via this report to NCVHS.
