Dr. Tariq Adwan is the Co-Founder and CEO of Helix Laboratory Partners, bringing extensive expertise in molecular diagnostics, laboratory quality management, clinical education, and laboratory operations. He earned his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry with honors from Misericordia University and completed his Ph.D. in Cell, Stem Cell, and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado, where he also conducted his postdoctoral research.
Dr. Adwan has received numerous grants and awards, including the National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health and the Young Alumnus Award from Misericordia University. He has authored several high-impact, peer-reviewed publications and has been invited to present his research at prestigious scientific conferences, including those hosted by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology.
A certified high-complexity laboratory director in molecular diagnostics by the American Board of Bio-analysts, Dr. Adwan is an active member of various working groups and scientific advisory committees, such as the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (CLIAC), where he contributes to the CLIA Regulatory Assessment Workgroup. He is also a member of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) and is a director Member of the American Association of Bio-analysts.
