Serving the Specialty Patient: How Technology and Standardization Can Overcome Obstacles

  • Tuesday, May 3, 2022
  • 9:15 am – 10:15 am

When a patient receives a prescription for a specialty medication, a journey toward fulfillment and care management begins – with detours along the way for everyone involved. Specialty medication growth is continually on the rise – in terms of new therapies, cost, and the rate of prescribing and fulfillment – and doesn’t show signs of slowing down. If stakeholders keep using the equivalent of a paper atlas instead of sophisticated GPS, how will they keep up? And what is the impact to the patient? This session will explore some of the significant progress being made to get stakeholders on track for the benefit of their own workloads and ultimately, the patient.
