Frequently Asked Questions

Can I search for bills using keywords?

Reports are currently set up using keywords related to the Searchable Topics. If you would like additional keywords to further customize or generate a report, NCPDP’s team can search within bills for certain keywords. Doing so will require a collaboration between you and NCPDP’s RxReconn team. If you are interested in running a report based on certain keywords, please email your specific request to RxReconn@ncpdp.org Even though you do have this ability, please note that the report will only generate results for the topics covered by NCPDP, which are carefully curated and intended to cover most core issues of interest, featuring only the bills that are relevant to our members and filtering out everything else.

Does the tool include all bills and laws related to each topic?

RxReconn® is a program for tracking and analysis of what is currently happening at the state and federal level. Once the bills become law, they no long appear under topic searches for legislation or regulations.

How much does RxReconn® cost?

How often is RxReconn® updated?

The tracking tool powered by StateScape is updated daily, overnight. A team of dedicated staff review bills during business hours, so they are capturing changes all day long. Those changes are then loaded into RxReconn® every night. A user should only experience a day, or sometimes two days, lag from bill update to its appearing in RxReconn®.

The RxReconn newsletter is updated on a weekly basis by our RxReconn team.

What does RxReconn® program provide?

It allows users to run pre-designed reports on NCPDP-identified topics on the current legislative session at the state and federal level, provides access to policy analysts and experts for consultation and custom reporting, and includes weekly updates delivered to your inbox so you can stay on top of issues without having to hunt for new information.

What is included in the reports?

It depends on the report, but we have many options available. Generally, reports include high-level information on a bill, such as who introduced it, and when, a summary of the content, the stage in the legislative or regulatory process, and general information about the legislative ore regulatory body considering the proposal. From there, users can drill down to see when new iterations were drafted, as well as the full bill text for each iteration.
